Biography:
Alexander Kuku is an agricultural and consumer economist whose research examines food systems, value chains, and food security in developing economies. His work focuses on post-harvest losses, market efficiency, and the welfare implications of agricultural value chains, with particular attention to tomato production systems in Nigeria. Through empirical research, he seeks to generate evidence to inform policies and practical interventions that reduce food losses and improve livelihoods for value chain actors. His research interests include agricultural markets, food policy, and value chain development, reflecting a commitment to strengthening sustainable and resilient food systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.
