Biography:
Mahmoud Bali is a lecturer and Head of the Common Services Unit at the Higher Institute of Water Sciences and Techniques of the University of Gabès. In 2012, he obtained a doctorate in geological sciences from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, University of El Manar, followed by a habilitation diploma in 2018. His research interests focus on water treatment, water resources management, and environmental geology. He designed an innovative ecological wastewater treatment plant based on reed-planted filters, which won the prestigious ISESCO Award for the best environmental project. Prof. Dr. Bali is also the holder of four invention patents and has published numerous articles in international scientific journals. In addition to his academic contributions, he has supervised several final-year projects and Master’s and doctoral theses. He has participated in numerous research projects as an expert in the field of wastewater treatment and reuse, thus providing sustainable solutions to challenges related to water resources management.
