Biography:
Rochelle A. Quiñones, MS Genetics is a University Researcher I at the National Crop Protection Center, University of the Philippines Los Baños. Her work centers on molecular crop protection, integrating genomics, bioinformatics, and insect molecular biology to address emerging and economically important pests. She leads projects on genetic diversity analysis, DNA barcoding of agricultural pests and natural enemies, comparative genomics of scale insects, and molecular enhancement of nucleopolyhedroviruses for biocontrol. Her research advances genomics-informed integrated pest management strategies to strengthen crop protection and promote sustainable agricultural systems.
