Biography:
Dr. Sixolise Manciya began his professional journey as an educator, specializing in Agricultural Studies at Imingcangathelo High School in Alice under the Department of Education. His passion for agriculture and rural development later led him to transition into the role of Agricultural Economist with the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). He is currently a lecturer at Mangosuthu University of Technology, within the Department of Agriculture, where he teaches Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Economics. Dr. Manciya is committed to developing future agricultural professionals and contributing to sustainable agricultural practices. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Development from the University of the Free State. His research focuses on climate change, agricultural advisory systems, and smallholder farmer resilience.
